Wild Game Feasts are one of EvanTell’s most popular outreach events for Churches within a community that loves hunting and the outdoors. Hosted by seasoned evangelist and acclaimed hunter Dr. Larry Moyer, it’s an event full of fun, food, prizes, and most importantly, focused on the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How Wild Game Feasts Work

Saturday night

For the feast, the church congregation assembles a potluck of wild game dishes. Congregants should also bring portable wild game mounts they’d like to show. EvanTell provides a guide of how to set up the feast and a mount wall, as well as instructions for how to invite non-Christians in the community, connect with local sponsors for door prizes, and more. Dr. Moyer will give his inspiring testimony of how he came to the Lord through hunting and talking through some of his most exciting hunting expeditions with some amazing photos!

Sunday Outreach Service

During the Sunday service(s), Dr. Larry Moyer will be the church’s guest speaker. This is an evangelistic service geared toward non-Christians who attended the feast. This message will include a gospel presentation and everything needed for the church to follow-up with those who respond to the gospel.

In addition to founding EvanTell, Dr. Moyer has been leading services like these for more than 46 years across the country and around the world.

As a veteran pastor who has led the churches I’ve served at in hosting ten Wild Game Feasts, I can tell you that I’ve heard a lot of speakers attempt to share the Gospel. evangelism seminar

Following the Sunday service, Dr. Moyer will host a one-hour evangelism training seminar. This is meant for Christians who want to learn how to overcome the two greatest obstacles in sharing their faith: fear of sharing, and simply not knowing what to say. After this seminar, attendees will be able to confidently explain the gospel to friends, family, co-workers, and anyone else God places along their path.

The benefits for our little church began a few months before the Wild Game Feast event as our team and leaders united to work together on an intentional project to impat the Kingdom in our city. The Wild Game Feast gave us a simple tool to reach into a population of our community with whom our people already had relationships but had not shared the gospel. The event had more than twice our Sunday attendance, 80% were not from our church, and 10% indicated they had prayed to trust Christ alone for their eternity. The Sunday events were phenomenal, launching us toward greater evangelism efforts in the future.
